Scottrade® associates are paid a competitive base salary with the eligibility of a semi-annual bonus, which is based on company profits and associate performance. In addition to semi-annual bonuses, associates may be eligible for separate incentive programs. In some cases, associates can be eligible for both the semi-annual bonus and the incentive program.

Salary

All of our associates are paid a competitive base salary. To ensure Scottrade® salaries remain aligned with the market, our Compensation department reviews salary market data on a regular basis.

Bonuses

Our associates* are evaluated regularly and are considered for bonuses that reward their hard work and achievements. It’s our way to celebrate going the extra mile and earning that big win.

*Interns, some trainees and some incentive-eligible associates are not eligible for bonuses.

We offer medical benefits through a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan with a nationwide network. Although our plans offer in- and out-of-network benefits, our associates are able to choose a physician/facility from a select group of providers that offer quality health care at a reasonable cost.

High- and Low-Deductible Choices

We offer both low- and high-deductible choices with prescription drug benefits included. The safety and health of our associates is a main priority for us, and we want to make sure you and your family are covered.

HSAs and FSAs

Health savings accounts (HSAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are also available, depending on the selected plan. Cover your family and plan for emergencies in the way that best suits your needs.

Dental & Vision

Dental coverage is available to all associates, and our two-tiered plan allows you to select the best plan based on what you need. Vision is also available to eligible full-time associates free of charge, with broad access to doctors across the nation.

Dental

Our dental plan is available through a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) that offers a large nationwide network of dentists. This means you’ll have convenient access to a dentist no matter where you are.
 

Vision

Available to all eligible full-time associates at no cost. Dependents can be covered at minimal additional cost. Associates have access to private practice optometrists, ophthalmologists and retail chain providers across the nation.

We offer a flexible schedule with paid market holidays, flex schedules and paid sick time to help with work-life balance. In addition, eligible employees can roll over a percentage of unused sick and vacation time annually to ensure that hard work is rewarded.

Schedules and Paid Time Off

We offer our associates flexible schedules, complete with 9 paid market holidays every year, service-based vacation programs, summer schedules and sabbatical programs to help you balance work and everything else.
 

Paid Sick Days

We understand that illness or injury is unpredictable. You should not be penalized if you’re unable to come in to work. We offer a number of paid sick days to each associate annually. This ensures that you’ll be in tip-top shape when you return to the office, without having to worry about losing out on pay.

Wellness Premium Discount

Associates who participate in Scottrade’s wellness screening program are eligible for a discount on their medical insurance premium.
 

Wellness Reimbursement 

Eligible Scottrade® associates have access to an annual wellness reimbursement covering things like health club memberships, weight loss programs like Weight Watchers™, smoking cessation programs, fitness classes, licensed nutritionist fees, personal trainers and home gym equipment.


Corporate Discounts & More

Scottrade partners with several wellness providers to offer associates discounted corporate rates on gym memberships. Scottrade also partners with Weight Watchers™ to provide Weight Watchers™ at Work meetings in our St. Louis headquarters. Insurance Choices

Basic life insurance, as well as accidental death & dismemberment insurance, is provided to all Scottrade® associates at no cost. Our policies will ensure your family is covered in the worst-case scenarios. We also offer associates income protection if disability or injury prevents you from working for a period of time.

Life and AD&D Insurance

Eligible Scottrade® associates have basic life along with accidental death & dismemberment insurance at no cost. Associates also have the opportunity to purchase supplemental life insurance for themselves, their spouses and their children. 
 

Disability Insurance

Eligible associates may receive both short-term disability and long-term disability benefits in the case that they become unable to perform their job due to disability. Don’t worry about having to pay additional premiums; we absorb the cost of all disability benefits.

Health Care Choices

We offer two accounts: a health savings account, and a healthcare flexible spending account (FSA). Each of these accounts corresponds to one of our health care insurance plans.
 

Dependent Care FSA

The dependent care FSA can be utilized for expenses related to care for a child under the age of 13, licensed day care provider fees or care for a disabled dependent. 
 

Parking & Mass Transit Relief

All Scottrade associates are eligible for the Qualified Transportation Benefit Program. This program allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for parking and/or mass transit expenses. In addition to pre-tax contributions, Scottrade will subsidize a portion of your parking and transit expenses.

Company Match

At Scottrade, we want to secure our associates’ futures. That’s why we’ve implemented a discretionary company match for our 401(k) plan, based on the firm’s performance. We proudly offer the company match to all regular full- and part-time employees.
 

Flexible Contributions

All regular full- and part-time associates may contribute up to 100% of their pay (up to the IRS limit) into a traditional pre-tax 401(k) plan and/or a Roth 401(k). Rollovers are accepted from former employers’ qualified plans.

Tuition Reimbursement

Professional development is important to us, but we also understand that growing professionally may involve continuing education. At Scottrade, we provide an Educational Assistance Program for associates who wish to pursue this level of personal development. Eligible associates receive reimbursement to cover the cost of the tuition, fees and books.
 

Adoption Assistance Program

Eligible Scottrade® associates can request reimbursement for the costs associated with adoption. The program typically reimburses for reasonable and necessary adoption costs, such as court costs, attorney fees, travel expenses and other directly related adoption expenses.
 

Charitable Giving

We believe in giving back to our communities and we encourage all our associates to do so as well. We support organizations that our associates help through monetary donations and volunteer work. Scottrade will match eligible monetary donations to qualified non-profit organizations and will make a financial donation to match the hours of volunteer work that our associates provide to these programs.
 

Associate Assistance Program

We know there is more to healthy employees than how they may feel physically. At Scottrade, we provide all associates and their dependents access to free and confidential Associate Assistance Program benefits, available 24/7.
