Step 1: Search for open positions
At the top of any page, click Search Open Positions.
Step 2: Apply for a position and create your candidate profile
Click on the position you are interested in and choose Apply or Apply with LinkedIn.
Step 3: Initial phone screening
After we review your resume and have determined you are a fit for the open position, a recruiter may contact you for an initial phone screening.
Consider this a pre-interview. The recruiter will ask you questions to get a better idea of how you would fit in the position at Scottrade.
Step 4: In-person interview
Qualified candidates may be asked to attend an in-person interview with the hiring manager and recruiter after the initial phone screening. If you are a fit for the position and considered a final candidate, we will check your references.
This is the point we decide if we are going to extend an offer of employment to you. Even if you are not selected for a position, we encourage you to check back often to view other openings.
Step 5: An offer is extended
If you are selected for the position, we will run a background check. If the background check is satisfactory, we may extend an offer of employment to you.
The background check is standard in the financial industry and is conducted by an outside firm.
Step 6: Accepting your offer
Once you accept an offer, you may work with your recruiter to select a start date and begin our onboarding process.
You will receive an email from Scottrade that contains a link to more information, including your start date, as well as a reminder of the location, your supervisor’s name and other instructions.
Step 7: Onboarding
Your first days at work will be guided by your Scottrade® onboarding experience, which includes members of Human Resources available to answer questions and offer training on Scottrade policies and procedures.
During the onboarding process, you’ll become familiar with your expected duties and responsibilities in your new position, as well as your new colleagues and others who work in your department.
